Vero Beach, FL

Left Melbourne, FL about 8am and sailed down the Indian River until the channel narrowed again. Made Vero Beach  around 2pm. Vero Beach is another sailing hotspot, hosting Thanksgiving potluck every year. Excellent facilities for sailors transiting south. It is so busy at this time of the year there are two to three boats per mooring. (Sailors lingo for this is “rafting”.)

Forecast is for another cold front to come through tonight so we will stay here for a few days. Good place for me to get caught up on work and for us to pick up our mail.

    Hi Shane, Mary and Franklin
I’ve been trying to call you. No one answers the phone. I left a message but no return. I wonder if I have a wrong number.
When are you planing to be in West Palm Beach. For us to pick you up for an evening at our house you need to take the ICW at Lake Worth inlet.
The is a free city dock down town WPB. You also could anchor buy our house and take dingy to the beach.
We are on the west side of ICW about 12 miles south of Lake Worth inlet and about a mile south of Lake Worth bridge. There are other mooring options near by.
Please let us know. I gave Mary my phone number. We met in the lower harbor down town Marquette MI.
